Youth Protection Policy

All service documents are written under the laws of the Republic of Korea; the Korean version is authoritative and other languages are convenience translations.

1. Purpose

In line with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Youth Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, this policy sets out the measures the operator (LeanLog) takes to keep minors from being exposed to harmful content while using SKIMTUBE, the designated youth protection officer, and how to report harm or harmful content.

SKIMTUBE is a service that provides AI-generated summaries of YouTube videos requested by users. It does not publish or distribute its own content or user-to-user posts.

2. Measures to block and manage content harmful to minors

  • Videos that YouTube marks as age-restricted (requiring adult verification) are detected automatically, and both summary generation and notifications for them are blocked.
  • If a user directly requests a summary of an age-restricted video, the request is refused; age-restricted videos are likewise excluded from summaries and notifications in the automatic monitoring of registered channels.
  • This block cannot be turned off through user settings.
  • The block relies on the age-restriction labels provided by YouTube, so harmful content that is not labeled as age-restricted may not be fully blocked, and when a label is added or changed after a video is published, blocking may be delayed until the change is reflected. If you find harmful content that was not blocked, please report it through the channels below.

3. Protection of minor users

SKIMTUBE is not primarily aimed at children under 14, and use of the service may be restricted where legal-guardian consent is required.

The usage restrictions and personal-data protections set out in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy apply equally to minor users.

4. Counseling and reporting harmful content

Exposure to harmful content, blocking failures, and any other youth-protection concerns can be reported through the contact form on the Help & Support page or by email ([email protected]).

Reports are reviewed, necessary measures such as blocking summaries and notifications for the video are taken, and the outcome is communicated back. We aim to respond within 3–4 business days.

5. Youth protection officer

The operator designates the following youth protection officer in charge of youth-protection matters.

6. Effective date and revisions

This policy takes effect on August 20, 2026.

When this policy is revised, the changes are published on this page together with the update date.
