General support is accepted only through the website contact form and [email protected]. The phone number is provided as business information only and is not a support intake channel. Never include passwords, full payment card numbers, or API keys in a support message. This page is an English translation provided for convenience; the Korean version is authoritative.

Credits and units

What is the difference between units (U) and credits (C)?

They are the same processing measure; what differs is where they came from. Units are the monthly allowance your subscription grants. Credits are prepaid balance you top up whenever you like. Credit top-ups are offered only for overseas payments (Dodo Payments, USD); domestic payments (Toss Payments, KRW) offer the monthly subscription only.

Subscription units are meant for that billing period (whatever is left rolls over for one more period), while topped-up credits are valid for one year from the date of purchase. AI chat messages included with a subscription roll over for one more period too, just like units.

How much does one video cost?

One per 10 minutes of video, rounded up, with a minimum of one. A 3-minute video costs 1, a 15-minute video 2, a 30-minute video 3.

Choosing instant processing doubles that amount (see "Instant vs scheduled summaries" below).

Which balance is spent first?

Both direct requests and automatic channel summaries spend rolled-over units first, then granted (bonus) units, then this month's subscription units, then topped-up credits — the balance that expires soonest is always spent first.

For direct requests you can change this order to "credits first" or "credits only" in settings.

Am I charged when a summary fails?

No. A summary reserves what it needs up front and only settles on success, so a failed or cancelled job returns its usage to your balance.

The exception is a summary that succeeded but whose Telegram delivery failed — the summary exists, so it stays charged. You can re-send it from the result screen.

Does re-requesting the same video charge me again?

Requesting a summary you already own, in the same language, costs nothing extra.

A different output language is a genuinely different result and is charged normally.

Is there anything free to start with?

Signing up grants a one-time trial allowance, valid for 30 days from the grant. You can see the amount on the top-up screen in settings after you sign up.

AI chat gives you 5 messages a month without a subscription. The allowance opens once you complete at least one summary that month, and each month gives you that month's allowance only — nothing carries over.

Instant vs scheduled summaries

What is the difference?

Instant processing returns a result within minutes and costs twice the length-based amount.

A scheduled summary joins a batched queue and arrives as soon as it is ready — usually within a day, though heavy load can take longer — at the normal (1x) cost. It lands in your web inbox and, if connected, on Telegram.

For anything not urgent, scheduling gets roughly twice as many summaries out of the same balance.

Can I speed up something I already scheduled?

Yes, as long as it hasn't been handed to the queue yet — the result list offers to switch it to instant, charging only the difference.

Once processing has started it can no longer be switched.

Which mode do automatic channel summaries use?

Summaries created automatically by channel watching always use the batched queue and always cost 1x. The 2x instant option does not apply to them.

Summary quality and limits

Are there videos you cannot summarize?

Videos longer than three hours are not processed. Neither are private or deleted videos, age-restricted videos, or live streams in progress.

Members-only videos cannot be detected in advance and may fail during processing; the usage is returned when that happens.

How accurate is a summary?

AI-generated summaries may be inaccurate or omit important context. Before relying on a summary for any important decision, review the original video and other reliable sources.

Accuracy is lower for videos with poor audio or content that lives mostly in on-screen text.

Can I choose the summary language?

Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese are available, plus "same as source", which follows the video. The interface language is a separate setting.

What if a summary keeps failing?

You can retry from the result list. If it keeps failing, send us the video URL and the time it happened using the form below.

Channel watching and notifications

How does channel watching work?

When a new video appears on a channel you registered and enabled watching for, we summarize it and notify you.

SKIMTUBE never imports your YouTube subscription list. You choose which channels to watch.

Can I filter out videos I don't want?

You can exclude short-form videos, videos over a length you choose, and titles containing keywords you list. Live and upcoming videos are excluded before they are stored.

You can still start a summary manually for anything a filter caught.

Where do notifications arrive?

Every finished summary lands in your in-app inbox. Connect Telegram and it is delivered there as well.

If a Telegram connection drops, you can reconnect from settings.

If I connect Telegram later, do I get earlier summaries?

We send the channel summaries finished within the last few days at the moment you connect. You can change that window, or turn it off, in settings.

AI chat

Does chat consume units?

No. Chat is counted in monthly messages, separate from summary usage.

A normal turn costs one message; an answer that also runs a web search costs two.

What happens when I run out of monthly messages?

If you are subscribed, they refill at the start of your next billing period. On the free tier they start over each month.

If you are subscribed, the unused part of that period's monthly allowance carries over for one more period and lapses after that. Free monthly messages do not carry over — each month gives you that month's allowance only.

Messages are spent in this order: carried-over messages, then this period's monthly allowance, then any bonus messages, and finally a purchased message pack — the balance that lapses soonest goes first, and the balance you paid for goes last. Purchased messages are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and anything left after that lapses.

Subscription plans

How do the plans differ?

Basic is ₩9,350/month (VAT included) for domestic (KRW) payments, with 10 watched channels (30 registered), 90 units per month and 60 AI chat messages.

Pro is ₩28,270/month (VAT included) for domestic (KRW) payments, with 30 watched channels (100 registered), 330 units per month and 130 AI chat messages.

Chat web search is available on both Basic and Pro; an answer that also runs a web search costs two messages.

See the pricing page for the current amounts.

Do the listed prices include tax?

Domestic (KRW) prices are shown as the final amount with VAT included. International (USD) product prices are set tax-exclusive; Dodo Payments, as the Merchant of Record, calculates the tax due for your country, adds it at checkout, and collects and remits it.

If you select a region that expects tax-inclusive pricing, we show the amount with tax included. Either way, the final charge is confirmed at checkout.

Do unused units carry over?

Leftover monthly units roll over for one more period and then expire. Unused monthly AI chat messages roll over the same way.

Credits and AI chat message packs (purchased chat) bought through overseas payments are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and anything left after that lapses.

Units or AI chat messages granted to you by support are valid for 30 days from the grant.

Payments and refunds

How is payment handled?

Domestic (KRW) payments are processed through Toss Payments (a payment gateway), and the seller is the operator (LeanLog). International (USD) payments are processed by Dodo Payments as the Merchant of Record. Full card numbers and CVCs are never stored by SKIMTUBE.

Which products are sold depends on the payment axis: domestic payments offer the monthly subscription only, while credit top-ups and AI chat message packs are offered only for international payments.

For domestic payments your statement may show the operator's trade name (LeanLog) or a descriptor designated by Toss Payments; for international payments it may show Dodo Payments or a descriptor Dodo Payments designates.

If you paid internationally, you can open the Dodo Payments customer portal from settings to view invoices and receipts, change your payment method, and manage your subscription. The terms that apply to international payments are in the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms (https://dodopayments.com/legal/buyer-terms), and refund or billing questions can be sent to the contact routes on this page for the operator to handle.

Can I refund credits I bought?

Credit top-ups and AI chat message packs are sold only through international payments (Dodo Payments, USD). Domestic payments (Toss Payments) offer the monthly subscription only; for subscription refunds see "What if I cancel a subscription mid-period?" below.

If you haven't spent any of that purchase and it is within 7 days, it is refunded in full with no fee.

If you spent part of it, we deduct what you used at list price and refund the rest, minus the non-recoverable payment-processing fee. Tax is returned in proportion to the refunded amount.

What if I cancel a subscription mid-period?

You can request a prorated refund for the remaining days. Units and chat messages used out of that period's own allowance are deducted at list price, and the payment-processing fee is withheld. Anything carried over from the previous period was provided by that earlier payment and is not deducted.

If you used nothing of that period's own allowance, the fee is waived. Cancelling immediately forfeits only what that period granted: its remaining units and its monthly AI chat messages. Anything carried over from the previous period — units and AI chat messages alike — stays until the end of its original carry-over window, because an earlier payment already covered it. Credits and purchased chat (A) bought through overseas payments are unaffected by cancellation.

If I refund a first-purchase pack, can I buy it again?

No. Refunding a first-purchase-only pack permanently uses up that eligibility, and the refund confirmation says so before you proceed.

I paid but my balance did not update.

Payment confirmation can arrive a few seconds late. If a refresh doesn't show it, the top-up screen in settings can re-check your payment history.

If it still doesn't appear, tell us the payment method and the time it happened.

Account and sign-in

I cannot sign in.

Check whether you signed up with email or Google. A password can be reset from the forgot-password link.

If a verification email didn't arrive, check your spam folder and resend it.

I came from Telegram to the purchase screen and the other menus are gone.

A session that arrives straight from Telegram is deliberately limited to purchasing. Sign in again to change account settings or cancel a subscription.

What happens if I delete my account?

You can delete it from settings; personal data and summary history are cleaned up. Payment records we are legally required to keep remain for the statutory period.

Privacy and data deletion

What can I request?

Account deletion, deletion of specific summaries or job records, and access, correction, deletion or suspension of processing of your personal data.

We also accept rights requests from users in the EEA/UK, California and elsewhere. See the privacy policy for the details.

How are AI chat conversations stored?

Conversations are encrypted when stored. By default they are encrypted with a key the service manages.

If you want, you can switch to a key only you hold. On the web it is kept in your browser, and in the Telegram Mini App it is kept in your own Telegram; the server never learns the key itself. In this mode we cannot read your conversations or restore them for you.

In case you lose that key, you can register a recovery passphrase or a passkey. The copy of the key is then sealed on your own device before being stored on the server, and because the passphrase and passkey value are never sent to us, we cannot open that copy either.

So recovery works only through the passphrase or passkey you registered. If you have no recovery method, or you have forgotten the passphrase, there is no way to recover the stored conversations.

What to include in an incident or bug report

For processing failures, login issues, notification failures, or payment errors, include the time, your registered email, and the related URL or job information when available.

Do not include passwords, API keys, or full payment card numbers in support messages.

How to reach us

If the answers above didn't help, send us a message using the form at the bottom of this page or email [email protected]. We'll send a confirmation email and usually reply within 3-4 business days.

The phone number is provided as business information only and is not a support intake channel. Requests requiring account, privacy, or refund verification must be submitted through the website contact form or your registered email.

Maintenance, incidents, and new-feature announcements are posted under Notices.
